Julianna grew up in Denver, CO, with parents who both worked as painters and glass artists. In 1992 they moved to the Washington coast, where the wilderness snuck into her subconscious and has become a constant influence. There is an implied narrative in her emotive imagery that draws from her own personal symbology, dreams, her family, fairy tales and the occasional sci-fi show.

Julianna graduated from Pacific Northwest College of Art with a B.F.A. in Illustration. She resides in Portland, OR.
